Success history

Grupo Roque was born in 1983, its founder Antonio Roque de Araujo, better known as Roque, born saboeiro, Ceará, came to Rio de Janeiro as many other fellow “earn a living.”

Initially, in 1976, Roque has assembled a team and focused on the installment plan segment. Later, around 1979, 1980 Roque was when he began working in the field of aluminum. Interestingly, in Rio de Janeiro there was the habit of working with aluminum, in fact, at that time was money that brought the segment of the bed and bath.

It was through a friend who Roque started in the business of aluminum. At that time it could call for wholesale, but rather a resale, it went over all the aluminum that is purchased, and also with bed and bath.
The entrepreneurial spirit of Roque envisioned at the time, a large market and therefore became interested in this branch, from aluminum to resell on a larger scale.

In 1983, the supplier of aluminum Roque decided to stop working in that field, and offered to the factory. At first, Roque declined the offer, considering that he knew nothing of production. However, with the insistence of the supplier, Roque accepted the offer because he realized that this was the deal of a lifetime – industrialize artifacts aluminum. Thus was born the first aluminum plant.

In 1985, Roque already know more about the concept of industry and better understand the market and sales of raw materials, further facilitated the production of products with better terms and prices, qualities present even today in all the Group’s products Roque.

In 1986 came the plane crossed when Roque managed to sell 100% of what was produced in its factories, enabling it to create a better structure, not only with respect to stocks, but also have a market to sell bigger and better. In 1987, we managed to keep us well, as the following year.

In the years following the Group’s customers were increasing Roque, as well as sales. And once again, Roque managed to sell his entire collection portfolio for its salespeople to their team, were more or less than 30 vendors. Thus, sellers are no longer vendors and have become clients. With these sales Roque invested everything in aluminum, fortunately, soon after the purchase of aluminum, this area has increased dramatically, making Roque had great profit.

Another turning point came in 1989, Roque already good customers, even outside the state of Rio de Janeiro, including Ceara. Roque was then that he felt the need to increase their infrastructure and opened its first store in Ceara, call, Distribuidora Roque.

In 1990, Roque bought and installed another plant in Ceara. With this new venture Roque managed to expand its market at Northeast. Later in 1993, Roque was living in Ceara, leaving Rio de Janeiro with a good structure. Going to Ceara, allowed Roque better monitor factory Crato, causing its expansion could reach the north.
Also in 1994, the Real plan, amplified further sale. In 1996, theGroup Roque went on to have tax incentives, which allowed to invest more in industry and produce a new product: a non-stick pan.
In late 1998, the Group Roque went on to produce the pressure cooker, now a major sales success!

In 2000 and 2001 were years that the pressure cooker had its greatest peak of expansion, reaching even into Angola and the United States. From these exports have also exports to Cuba.

In 2002 the Group Roque went on to have more notoriety with his presence at the International Gift Faire in Sao Paulo.

In 2003, Pablo Roque, Roque’s son, took over the plant in Ceara, going to be the eyes of his father in the factory, running the model for administration of his father. In 2005, Roque returned to monitor the plant in Rio de Janeiro, and also bought a new factory – Implafix, also administered by one of his sons – Diego Roque. In later years, the Group has been growing and Roque evoluindocada again.
